Dr Nathan Royan - Anaesthetist

Dr Nathan Royan graduated from Medicine (MBBS) at University of New South Wales in 2006. He completed his Anaesthetic training at Royal North Shore Hospital in 2014. Nathan underwent further fellowship training with a Clinical/Research Fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia (brain and spine) at Toronto Western Hospital in 2016/2017.

Dr Royan has special interests in neuroanaesthesia and regional anaesthesia for orthopaedic surgery. He is passionate about teaching and research and has formalised these with a post-graduate certificate in clinical education and with published research in the area of anaesthesia for intraoperative neuromonitoring.

Nathan is a strong advocate for patient care and safety and continually strives to improve his patientís perioperative experiences and outcomes.

Dr Royan holds positions as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Royal North Shore, Hornsby and Northern Beaches public hospitals and at North Shore Private, Castlecrag and Mater private hospitals.

Nathan is a fellow of Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthestists (ANZCA) and a member of Northern Sydney Anaesthesia Research Institute (NSARI).

Nathan is a member of the Sydney Anaesthetics Group who assist in pre-operative screening and health assessment of his patients, informed financial consent and other financial matters.

 

Dr Helen Jeffrey - Anaesthetist

Dr Helen Jeffrey

Dr Helen Jeffrey qualified as a Specialist Anaesthetist in the UK before coming to Australia in 2000. Her training was in Nottingham and Leeds.

After working at Royal Prince Alfred and St Vincent’s Hospitals she became a VMO at Royal North Shore Hospital in 2002 and still practices there, specialising in Burns and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and Trauma. Her private work is with Plastic Surgeons at Castlecrag, the Mater and North Shore Private Hospitals.

Prior to your surgery you may be contacted by her Medical Specialist billing practice, Probills Australia, for a quote and prepayment, if you are having cosmetic surgery.
