Face and Neck Lift Print E-mail
Over time the skin and soft tissues of the face begin to sag due to the effects of gravity. This may result in the formation of “jowls” and folds of skin on the cheeks and neck. A facelift can help to reposition these tissues by removing the excess skin and tightening the muscular layer of the face. This can help to freshen the appearance of your face and neck, and to improve your appearance.

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty) Print E-mail
The effects of aging are seen around the eyes as well as in the face. This results in an excess of skin in the eyelids, which can impede the opening of the eyes and give the eyes a sad appearance. The bulging of fat in the eyelids can also give them a puffy look. A blepharoplasty removes the excess skin and fat of the eyelids using incisions that are hidden within the natural skin creases, and gives the eyes a more open and refreshed look. This procedure is often combined with a facelift.

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to improve the external appearance of the nose. This may be performed to restore the shape of the nose after an injury or as a purely cosmetic procedure if you wish to change the way that your nose has developed. Any breathing problems that you may have can be corrected at the same time as altering the external appearance of the nose.  Changing the appearance of the nose enhances your overall facial appearance, bringing the nose into harmony with the rest of the face.

Facial Fractures Print E-mail
The bones of the facial skeleton may be fractured following an assault or a car accident.  If the bones are out of position then they may require surgery in order to ensure that the appearance of the face is not altered. This usually involves incisions hidden within the skins natural creases, and fixing the breaks with small titanium plates which will remain in place.

A fracture of the mandible (jawbone) can result in the teeth not meeting together properly. The treatment may require plating of the fracture or wiring the teeth together for a short period of time to ensure that the fracture heals with the teeth in the normal position.

Surgery to change the position of the upper and lower jaws can be performed in order to improve the position of the upper and lower teeth relative to one another, and also to improve the appearance and harmony of the face. This procedure usually needs to be combined with orthodontics (braces) for a period of time both before and after the surgery.  Surgery can also be performed on the chin alone in order to change its position forward or backwards so that it is more in keeping with the rest of the face.
